I’m pretty surprised with the fact that there are numerous tags and a popular website that are both entitled “white people problems.” I’m aware of the fact that it is supposed to be meant in good humor but numerous people that don’t associate with being of “white” heritage face similar road blockages in everyday life. Are you saying that they’re not entitled to voice their relation simply because of skin tone? That is a racial slur in itself. I’m alarmed that people actually associate them to simply their race. Eating delicious popcorn and getting it stuck in your teeth or looking forward to something and getting sick the day before (to name a few taken right off http://www.whitepeopleproblems.com/) are not problems that occur simply because of your heritage. Why name them so? Instead, as an alternative why can’t it be switched to “first world problems?” Because in all reality, isn’t that what they are? You aren’t facing these problems just because you’re “white” and neither are you being submitted to them for the same reason. There is no special draw back that attracts these problems to you. In a sense, you are alienating other races from participating even if not willingly. There is a sense of uneasiness while reading these problems that are supposedly just for a certain group of people and voicing relation because you don’t belong. I’ve seen numerous people make the attempt to use “first world problems” instead and I’m pretty grateful that they are. But please, think before you actually use or contribute to this growing fad. There are others who are highly offended by it.
